Fed up...

I've been dying to get this off my chest.
Some might instantly cry "Racist!" at the following, and I don't expect everyone to agree with me.
It's just my opinion, and just based on my own experiences...and I'm really pissed off right now.

For the 2nd time this week, I was nearly hit another driver.
I was minding the road, obeying both the speed limit and the painted lines that divide the lanes between me and oncoming traffic. And paying attention.
Well another driver decided it was ok to swerve into my lane, and stay there.
Was this 'a game of chicken?' I thought to myself.
No, the asshole was paying more attention to what was on the side of the road, pointing to show the passenger something in the distance, and had no idea he was about to kill me.
I had nowhere to swerve to in order to get out of his way, it was a narrow two lane road.
I laid on my horn, and thankfully it snapped him back to attention in time to just barely miss me.
As I glanced into the car that could have taken my life, I saw the driver.
Asian.
The day before yesterday it was also an Asian that ran a red light, nearly t-boned me, but did rear end the car in front of him, nearly killing a pedestrian in the process.

This isn't just something that happened this week.
It happens every week.
99% of the time, the offending driver is Asian.
For the last two years or so, I've lived in northern California, in an area that has a very high and concentrated Asian population, most of which are fresh immigrants from Korea, Vietnam, Japan, etc.
I'm surprised, no, stunned that I haven't been killed by now. Let alone been in at least one fender bender due to these morons.
That's not saying that all Asians are morons. The freshly immigrated should be tested more thoroughly, and if they fail, they shouldn't be behind the wheel until they can prove safe driving skills beyond stepping on the gas and steering.
I find myself yelling, "Stick to the ox carts!" at them almost every time I see one of these acts of stupidity. And it is for the most part, these 'fresh off the boat' Asians that seem to completely unable to drive a car safely.
Does being in a vehicle suddenly break their robot communication with the Asian hive mind, causing erratic behavior and/or total blank outs behind the wheel?
Perhaps we can just chalk it up to less experience? But I even see these horrible driving abilities from some Asian Americans who were born here, and should know better.

My insurance rates have skyrocketed since moving to the San Jose area. I have a squeaky clean driving record, yet I get to pay for these idiotic rates that are pushed up by all the accidents and fender benders caused mainly by (yes, I've done my research) Asians.
Can I at least get a discount for having peripheral vision?
It sure has saved my bacon on more than one occasion.
It's so easy for anyone really, to get a driver's license here. They literally hand them out like candy for doing the minimum required in testing. So it's not completely their fault.
California is broke, and they need that extra cash.

The Asian culture however, seems to follow a very timid attitude when driving. Or the opposite; driving like a complete too-fast-too-furious idiot, both of which can have a deadly effect on roads. The latter seems to be prevalent in the teen and twenty-something children born to Asian immigrants and their version of American car culture; buy a crappy car and spend all your money into making into what we like to call a "rice rocket"....they have to make up for those tiny penises somehow.

But I digress.
Idiotic driving skills aren't just an Asian problem, there are lot's of people out there, regardless of race, that really shouldn't be driving.
I think the same goes for the elderly. While I have the utmost respect for my elders, I think the testing the DMV requires of them, needs to be a little more thorough after a certain age. I even know of a few elderly folks that admit to cheating on vision tests to keep their drivers license.
It's scary.

I know all this comes off as really offensive, but I needed to get that out.
I'm sure that if I moved to some place in Europe where they seem to drive much faster than we are allowed here, they would probably say the same of me...only I would soon learn and adapt to keep up with the flow.
I guess that wouldn't count though; considering most of the driving I did while learning how to, took place in Europe, lol!
