I think that the racist/racism issue is another entity in itself in that as a folkish people in today's world, we cannot help but be racially aware.
That is just an unavoidable truth. There is a huge difference between being racially aware and blatantly hostile to other races. I personally feel that although I have said things at times which seem racist and will again I'm sure, as will most of us, it is always stated in context and are merely observations made from the personal experiences I and others like me have had.
If I am branded a racist by being actively aware of my heritage or simply acknowledging that there is a difference, that I am part of a race which can accept its own culture and history in the face of modern political correctness, then so be it.
